When it comes to pets you have dog people and cat people. I once thought I was a cat person, but when Ziggy the labrador entered the house I was sold. Okay, a dog wants to be with you all the time, is like a child that never grows up, but a dog is that kind of friend that’s always there for you. He doesn’t ask questions when you come in late, he’s just happy you’re there. Then Ollie followed, a Grand Basset Griffon Vendéen, a sweet dog that needed a lot of activity. We adopted her, and were her third home. She didn’t live very long and after a while we adopted Amy, an English cocker spaniel. She was left in the shelter because she was aggressive with other animals and kids. We already enjoy her peaceful and lively character now for 12 years.
